Ingredients
- 1/2 pound feta cheese
- 1/3 pound cottage cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 pound of filo (phyllo) dough, 9x14 inch sheets
- 1/2 pound butter
Preparation
- Thaw the filo dough and preheat oven to 350°. Crumble the feta cheese into a medium bowl with cottage cheese, beaten eggs, and salt. Stir until combined
- Lay a sheet of filo dough horizontally on your workspace and brush with melted butter. Cut the sheet into 6 or 7 strips across the shorter plane (strips should be about 2 inches wide).
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto the end of each strip. Fold over one corner so the end of the strip makes a triangle. Continue folding in triangles all the way up the length of the strip. Place the folded pastries on a greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake the pastries for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and serve!
