Beef Bulgogi

Ingredients
For Bulgogi
- 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 4 scallions, sliced
- 1 king oyster mushroom, sliced thinly
- 2 tbsp oil
For Marinade
- 1/4 cup red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup rice syrup (substitute light corn syrup)
- 1/4 cup gochujang
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
- Combine all the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Add the beef and mix until coated. Set aside.
- Heat a large shallow pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil, scallion, and mushrooms. Stir for 1 minute until the scallion is slightly brown.
- Lower the heat to medium, then add the marinated beef. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and serve with rice and kimchi.
